Walnuts are unique among nuts because the essential fat they contain is primarily polyunsaturated (the source of omega-3 fatty acids.) as well as a host of other important vitamins and minerals. Walnut oil is a clear, grease-less, penetrating oil, that is a rich source of fatty acids.

• Camelina Oil was known as the "gold of pleasure" to Europeans not long ago. Sarenrae Blonde/Colorless Herbal Hair Color and Conditioner

No, not a new product, just a retitle!  Formerly known as Devas, our Golden Blonde / Colorless (on dark hair) blend is now known as Sarenrae.

Why the change? Back in the day I had this idea that all the hair colors would be named after faeries, and all the powders would be things that could be purchased in a fae market. That worked right up until Fire Genasi came along (Dungeons & Dragons entity with a fire elemental as a parent), and then was followed up by Kitsune (Japanese fox-spirit), Enyo (Greek goddess of war), and Eilistraee (a Drow goddess in Dungeons & Dragons).

Also? Devas just never resonated with me. It sounded kind of like diva, and most divas don't seem into the whole head-full-of-mud thing.

Lastly, I'm a long-time roleplayer, and after creating the Raven Queen's Chosen Oil I wanted to do another Critical Role homage. Sarenrae is the Pathfinder Goddess of Healing and Redemption who teaches temperance and patience in all things. This herbal blend is perfect for putting damaged hair on the mend, and Sarenrae fit thematically.

In Critical Role, before Pike Trickfoot, a Cleric of Sarenrae, was killed, her hair black with a purple streak. After her first death and resurrection her hair turned white. Her player, Ashley Johnson, has blonde hair, too, so it all seemed to fit rather nicely.

This herbal hair conditioner hearkens to the warmth of Sarenrae, imparting warm golden tones to lighter colored hair, and giving amazing natural conditioning properties to darker colored hair. Sarenrae Blonde/Colorless Herbal Hair Color and Conditioner is made entirely from powdered herbs.

Just like before, you can get a 10g sample and a 100g full-sized packet.

Camelina oil also has incredibly high in both alpha-linolenic and linoleic acid contents, and proportions this large are more typically found in linseed oil and fish oil.

• Coconut oil fractionated- Coconut oil is excellent as a skin moisturizer and softener. A study shows that extra virgin coconut oil is effective and safe when used as a moisturizer, with absence of adverse reactions. A study found that coconut oil helped prevent protein loss from the wet combing of hair when used for fourteen hours as a conditioner before washing the hair.

• Avocado Oil- This deep golden oil is an edible oil pressed from the fruit of the Persea americana (avocado). It is used for lubrication and in cosmetics where it is valued for its regenerative and moisturizing properties. It supplies vitamins A, B, D, and E to nourish both hair follicles and the scalp. Vitamin E also acts as a protective antioxidant. It has natural humectant properties, adding and locking in moisture. The monounsaturated fatty acids will give hair a glossy shine and silky texture. The amino acids will promote the growth of new hair cells.

• Pumpkin Seed Oil- Pumpkin seeds contain fatty oils with linoleic acid and oleic acid, both known to prevent cancer-causing cell production. They are also an excellent source of vitamins A, B6 and C. In addition, the seeds contain beneficial nutrients like zinc, magnesium, calcium and iron. Perhaps most important to those suffering from hair loss, the seeds contain cucurbitin, a unique amino that may be responsible for pumpkin seeds' effects on hair growth. There is conjecture that when consumed internally pumpkin seed oil it is a DHT blocker and can aid in treating baldness or hair loss, though no clinical study has been done.

• Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium) Essential Oil- Made from the leaves and twigs of this amazing tree, it is antiseptic, antispasmodic, a natural deodorant, and nervine. Blends well with lavender, rose, and sandlawood.

• Oakmoss Essential Oil- Earthy-rich notes of moss, with slight undertones of wood and pine with excellent tenacity. Reminiscent of a walk in an old forest. Oakmoss is both an antiseptic and a demulcent meaning that it both fights microbes while soothing irritated tissues. It is excellent at helping maintain the moisture and oil balance of skin, making it fantastic for scalps.

• Mugwort Essential Oil- Mugwort can be considered both famous and infamous. In China, its medicinal properties were used to treat various ailments, while in European countries like England and others, it was used in witchcraft and black magic. This oil has a warming effect on the body, which can be used to counter the effects of cold temperatures and moisture in the air. Mugwort should never be used during pregnancy.

ôstar is an Old High German adverb that "expresses movement towards the rising sun." This oil is perfect for spring, having a medium weight: the oil blend is light enough to absorb into the hair, but rich enough to prevent dryness.

Base Oil: Sunflower Oil
Secondary Oils: Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil
Essential Oils: Gingergrass, Lavender, Lemongrass, Cedarwood, Ginger
Aroma: A dewy, fresh scent, like a sunlit garden after the rain.

• Sunflower Oil Organic Cold–Pressed Unrefined– An oil wealthy in Oleic acids with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E, also has beneficial amounts of lecithin, and unsaturated fatty acids. Deeply nourishing and conditioning for the skin and hair it is a natural emollient (meaning it corrects scaling and dryness), by helping upraised skin and hair cells lay flat, helping to increase shine and keep in moisture. Cold-pressed oil, also called cold-drawn, or virgin, oil, is purer than oil expressed with the aid of heat and retains more of its natural benefits.

• Rose hip Oil- is extracted from the seeds contained in the intensely red berry-like fruits -or hips- of a wild rose-bush that grows in the cool, lush mountain rainy valleys of the southern Andes, in Chile. It is a superb hydrator with a high absorbing level, penetrating dry skin and hair almost instantly to restore a much needed moisture balance frequently lost by climatic and environmental conditions such as dryness and air toxicity.

• Evening Primrose Oil– This oil comes from the pressed the seeds of the Evening Primrose plant, Oenothera biennis . The yellow flowers only open in the evening, hence their common name. Evening Primrose Seed Oil is a rich source of gamma linoleic acid, an Omega 6 fatty acid and nourishes the scalp, hair, and even your nails.

•Sea Buckthorn Oil– So rich in vitamins and nutrients that it has been even speculated that the plant must have been cultivated by some ancient plant-breeder. A useful, highly prized, and specific oil typically used to treat damaged skin, ulcerations, scar tissue, wrinkles, eczema, burns, etc. Cold extracted from whole Sea Buckthorn berries, it is a moisturizing and anti-inflammatory, scalp soother. This oil is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids, carotenes, tocopherols, and phytosterols.

• Gingergrass Essential Oil– A warming oil and anti-inflammatory, it increses circulation to the scalp. It has an array of lively green, citrus, slightly fruity, exotic sensual notes.

The name “lavender” is derived from the Latin lavare, meaning, “to wash” and was known as one of the seven polyvalents (effective against many toxins). Greeks and Romans perfumed their bathwater with lavender, burned lavender incense to appease their wrathful gods, and believed the scent of lavender to be soothing to untamed lions and tigers.

• Lemongrass Essential Oil- A heavy, lemony, green scent, this oil is widely used as an addition to bug repellents, and for its lemony aroma. Citral is known for its antimicrobial effects, and can help kill or suppress the growth of bacteria and fungi. It's said that lemongrass oil's quality is generally determined by its citral content. For those that suffer from hair loss, oily hair, and other scalp conditions, lemongrass oil may be beneficial, as it can help strengthen hair follicles.

• Cedarwood Essential Oil– Excellent for both hair and skin care. It balances oily skin, soothes and helps to heal skin rashes, reduces oil in hair and skin. Famed cedars of Biblical times (Lebanon cedar) provided one of the world’s earliest perfumes. Other ancient cultures used cedarwood for sarcophagi and palace and temple building material.

Ullassa is one of the many amazing words that has no direct English translation; it means "feelings of pleasantness associated with natural beauty." It focuses on using essential oils, four penetrating oils, and one sealing oil, jojoba, to lock the moisturizing goodness into both hair and scalp.

Ullassa is perfect for dry or damaged hair that struggles to keep moisturized, but is great for all hair (and scalp) types that need a little extra love in the driest parts of winter. You can purchase it premade here [ linky pending ], as well as custom oil blends if one or two of the ingredients don’t suit you.

Why this blend of penetrative oils + jojoba for sealing?
Natural, penetrative, oils have a high amount of fatty acids such as lauric, capric, oleic, linoleic, mystiric, palmitic and caprylic acids. Their small (in a molecular sense) structure allows them to easily penetrate the scalp and hair, feeding them with vital nutrients needed for healthy hair.
The sealing oil, jojoba, is considered to be the closest to the sebum naturally produced by the scalp. This makes it an effective conditioner, moisturizer, and softener for both skin and hair.

Base Oils: Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil
Secondary Oils: Avocado Oil, Rose Hip Oil, Hemp Seed Oil
Essential Oils: Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang, Petitgrain, Vetiver and Vanilla Burbon C02 Extract
Aroma: Soothing and warm, like a vanilla and herb spa bath.

Application: 1-2 drops of oil in the hands and massage into damp hair or into the scalp.

Detailed Ingredients:

Jojoba Oil- Jojoba Oil is found to be an ideal moisturizer and conditioner which is derived from a natural plant. Jojoba oil is produced from a desert plant called Simmondsia Chinensis whose oil is highly regarded as an effective conditioner, moisturizer, cleanser and softener for the skin and hair.

Sunflower Oil Organic Cold–Pressed Unrefined– An oil wealthy in Oleic acids with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E, also has beneficial amounts of lecithin, and unsaturated fatty acids.

Avocado Oil- This deep golden oil is an edible oil pressed from the fruit of the Persea americana (avocado). It is used for lubrication and in cosmetics where it is valued for its regenerative and moisturizing properties. Rich in nutrients, amino acids, and essential fatty acids, this nutritional oil is excellent for enhancing hair health.

Rose Hip Oil- is extracted from the seeds contained in the intensely red berry-like fruits -or hips- of a wild rose-bush that grows in the cool, lush mountain rainy valleys of the southern Andes, in Chile. It is a superb hydrator with a high absorbing level, penetrating dry skin and hair almost instantly to restore a much needed moisture balance frequently lost by climatic and environmental conditions such as dryness and air toxicity.

Hemp seed Oil- Hemp seed oil is made up of 80% essential fatty acid, the highest amount of any other plant. Hemp seed oil prevents moisture loss on a physiological level; it does just not merely "coat" the skin or hair as do other oils. Hemp so closely matches our own skins lipids it is able to penetrate inside our cells and lubricate the surface between. Not only does Hemp seed oil contribute greatly to the barrier function and appearance it also has other skin benefits such as offering relief to acne, minor abrasions, psoriasis and eczema. Hemp is also the only plant oil containing Vitamin D, which is necessary for Calcium absorption, especially useful to vegans. Using Hemp seed oil is a great way to achieve soft, smooth and hydrated skin.

Jasmine Absolute- This oil helps to bust stress- which can drain nutrients from the body. Using jasmine oil along with coconut oil has Shown to encourage hair growth. Along with adding to the volume and length, it gives dry hair a radiant lustre.

Ylang–Ylang Essential Oil– The extract of lilies, this oil is a scalp soother and follicle stimulator. Indonesians spread the luxuriant flowers on the marriage bed of the newly weeded couples. Ylang means “flowers of flowers,” sometimes called “the perfume tree.”

Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium)- Made from the leaves and twigs of this amazing tree, it is antiseptic, antispasmodic, a natural deodorant, and nervine. Use in a hair oil will leave hair and scalp fragrant (petitgrain has woody, citrus and floral notes all in one!), while soothing and preventing bacterial and fungal growth. Blends well with lavender, rose, and sandlawood.

Vetiver Essential Oil- An oil with a sweet, heavy, earthy and woody aroma, it is a cicatrisant which speeds up new tissue growth and can speed up the disappearance of scars or other marks from the skin. An anti-inflammatory, vulenerary, and antiseptic, it promotes scalp health. Is aroma has long been lauded for being relaxing and soothing.

Vanilla Burbon CO2 Extract- Vanilla is not produced as pure essential oil. It is well advised to question the authenticity of Vanilla labeled pure essential oil. This soothing scent is perfect for relaxing and meditation.
