One Week Countdown for Coloring Hair Naturally with Henna & Other Herbs!

It's almost here! And I'm so, so excited.  While Rehabilitating Damaged Hair Naturally was a massive success, Coloring Hair Naturally with Henna & Other Herbs is a true labor of love.

The ebook will be released on Amazon and Etsy on September 27th!

Twice the length of Rehabilitating Damaged Hair Naturally, Coloring Hair Naturally with Henna & Other Herbs clocks in at 135 8 1/2 x 11 pages, meaning it's over 300 pages on an e-reader! That makes it, by far, longer and more comprehensive than any book on herbal hair coloring out there.

It's all here! From "should I henna?" to "I've hennaed and gotten mud on the ceiling, what do I do?"

And it doesn't just cover henna! Blonde colors, brunettes, and even how to bring out a silver shine on gray hair with herbs is all inside.  There's even an entire section dedicated to lightening hair and another to removing herbal hair colors.

Check in often over the next week! I'll be revealing more of the book's contents and showcasing prizes for the reveal giveaway!

Something Swell reviews our Damaged Hair Healer's Kit

If you've never checked out Annie's vegan and sustainable lifestyle blog over at Something Swell, you should! She's funny, she's frank, and she's a joy to read. I came across her blog a few months ago when hunting for the Rare and Magical Unicorn that is a good natural sunscreen and have been following her ever since.

It was much to my joy, then, when she agreed to do a review of the Damaged Hair Healer's Kit.

Go check it out! You won't be disappointed :)

NightBlooming Teams up with HennaSooq!

Over the years, HennaSooq has been far and away my favorite supplier of  henna, indigo, senna, and other ayurvedic herbs. Khadija has always been so sweet and supportive and we've been thrilled to grow our businesses with one another rather than be fierce competitors

Today I'm happy to announce that we're taking that one step further and offer selected HennaSooq products for sale directly at NightBlooming! This way you can get your Red Raj and your Selkie all in one stop (because if you haven't tried Selkie in your henna, you really have to). For international customers, especially, this can mean significant savings on shipping.

In the store, you'll now find:

Organic Senna / Cassia Obovata

Jamila Henna

Organic Rajasthani Henna

Organic Zizyphys Spina Christi (Sedr)

Organic Amla Powder

Organic Indigo Powder

and Red Raj Henna

The keen-eyed among you will notice that there are some slight price differences between HennaSooq and NightBlooming, but that helps cover my shipping charges and Etsy fees. I've no doubt that the convenience and combined shipping will more than make up the difference.

Rehabilitating Damaged Hair Naturally Success Story

I got the most wonderful emails from a happy customer who picked up Rehabilitating Damaged Hair Naturally, not just for herself, but also for her daughter, Carmela.

Not two days after purchasing she wrote to me, included this picture and said:

So this is obviously just the start.  My daughter's hair is naturally curly, think and generally out of control.  We are going to do the moisture treatment from your book tonight but by just following a few bits of advice we have already seen dramatic changes.  This morning her hair looked so good that for the first time in over two years she wanted to wear it down to go to school.  I just wanted to share the pictures with you and say thank you again.  I can not tell you how happy you made my little girl this morning.

We had a wonderful chat, and then this morning I got another email with another picture!

I promise that I won't bother you with updates every day but I thought this one was worth it.  We did the tea and honey treatment on her hair last night and the results were very dramatic.  You can see how much softer the texture of her hair is after the treatment.  The difference in the actual feel of it is incredible.  Again thank you so much for making my baby girl so happy.

Look at those beautiful wurls coming out to shine!

It just puts me over the moon to know that something I wrote has made a little girl so much happier with her hair.

Have a success story, too?  I'd love to hear it!
